Tuesday, January 16

• Student Union

Trespass: Bank customer wanted access to an account to which they were not authorized, became irate and made threats to bank personnel. DPS arrived; suspect arrested by TPD.

• Parking Garage

Damage to automobile: Gate came down on staff member’s vehicle exiting garage, causing damage.

• Sage Lab

Medical Report: Staff member felt disoriented and nauseous; patient refused EMS treatment.

Wednesday, January 17

• Griswald Road

Motor Vehicle Accident: Driver struck vehicle while backing out of Student Union access road.

• Science Center

Medical Report: Faculty member was standing on a chair when chair leg gave out causing him to fall, striking his head; transported to Samaritan by RPIA.

Friday, January 19

• Wiltsie

Fire Report: Alarm set off due to toaster fire; extinguished by TFD.

• CII

Fire Report: Alarm set off due to trash can fire; extinguished by TFD. Fire Life Safety responded to assess damage; building closed for about two hours.

• Williams

Fire Report: Alarm set off due to a faulty door bell; reset by TFD.

• BARH

Medical Report: Student broke plate glass window while leaning against it, causing the student to fall through, and cut his face; transported to Samaritan by TFD.

• Gurley Building

Larceny: Laptop computer reported stolen.

Saturday, January 20

• Barton Hall

Underage Drinking: Student fell out of bed due to intoxication and urinated on floor of room. E+SS notified for cleanup. Judicial action pending.

• Colonie A

Fire Report: Alarm set off due to cooking smoke; reset by TFD.

Tip of the Week: Fumehoods are designed to control fires and fumes; always ensure the sash is down when unattended.
