I would like to introduce the newest sorority on campus, Alpha Omega Epsilon Colony. We are a social and professional engineering sorority, meaning that we value philanthropy, professionalism, and camaraderie. We are a group of engineers and other accepted majors who are scheduled to become an international chapter on April 23.
Last semester we raised over $2,000 and participated in the American Cancer Society’s Breast Cancer Walk in Albany. We were recognized as the collegiate team who raised the most money for the walk. We also sold pancakes in the Union during finals week to raise money for our national foundation. Look for us during every finals week.
I am very proud of my sisters and the work and dedication everyone has put in towards establishing our colony. We have survived our own candidate period with nobody leading the way or telling us what the traditions are. This semester we held our first rush, which was very successful with nine new candidates. We also placed in the top GPA rankings of the greek organizations.
This semester we held a business-wear fashion show. Our first formal is coming up and we are working hard to raise money for Relay for Life. So, if you see us wearing our letters around campus, feel free to say hello, and meet the sisters of Alpha Omega Epsilon Colony!
