UC keeps busy with

Undergraduate Council President

As I promised, this article will have a lot about what the Undergraduate Council is up to, along with ways people can get involved. It is this council’s job to do this, so if you have any questions or have an idea, e-mail your class president or the UC at uc@rpi.edu.

The UC is working on an event handbook that will teach other clubs and people how to use resources around campus, and how to plan things such as concerts, comedians, and even meetings. This will help everyone on campus plan events and know exactly what to do when they have—or want—to do a big event on campus. Another item on our agenda is a President’s Handbook, which will teach each class president, along with each class council, what to do while they are in office. This will make it easier for others to see what their class council really is and what they do.

As we speak, each class council is doing something exciting for all students in their respective class. The seniors are planning Senior Week and the 100 Day Party. If you are interested in helping out or have an idea, e-mail Lindsay Denton and Brandon Smith. The class of 2007 is looking for commencement speakers and thinking about class gifts and other big events. The class of 2008 is busy planning their ring, so if you want to get involved with this, e-mail the ring chairperson, Angelina Wagner, or class president Mike Milligan. The class of 2009 is busy with their constitution, along with planning an event for the spring.

Every class is looking for help. Instead of just hearing about things or complaining about what is happening on campus, get involved and make a difference. Your opinion really does matter and can change things that are happening.
