• Barton Hall

Medical Incident: An 18-year-old female suffered from an allergic reaction to a medication; the patient was transported to Samaritan Hospital by RPIA.

Saturday, October 22

• Colonie Apartments

Fire Report: Cooking smoke caused fire alarm to activate; system reset per Troy Fire Department.

Sunday, October 23

• Rousseau

Fire Report: Cooking smoke caused alarm activation; system reset per Troy Fire Department.

Monday, October 24

• Hall Hall

General incident: DPS responded for a report of an odor of marijuana; occupants interviewed and reports forwarded to DOSO.

• Sherry Road

MV Accident: The operator of a Waste Management Truck was backing up from a loading dock and came in contact with a parked, RPI owned vehicle.

• Edge Hill

Petit Larceny: Student reported an unknown person smashed out the passenger side window of a 1990 Ford dump truck and stole a two-way radio from the vehicle.

• Off Campus

Harassment: Student reported he was approached by two white male teenagers and one black male teenagers who followed him and asked if he was looking for a fight; the student contacted DPS and upon arrival on the scene the suspects had fled the area.

Tuesday, October 25

• VCC Main Floor

Grand Larceny: Student re­ported an unknown person entered her workstation and stole her wallet containing cash and credit cards.

• Biotech

Chemical: Reports of a chemical reaction; no injuries or property damage reported.

• Off-Campus Parking

Fire Report: Electrical lines were arcing and a small fire was noted in the trees near the garage; TFD and Niagara Mohawk responded to the scene.

Wednesday, October 26

• Sage Dining Hall

Fire Report: An employee forgot to turn a fan on, leading to smoke that caused the alarm to sound.

• Caldwell

Drug paraphernalia: DPS responded to a report of an odor of smoke; upon entering the residence on a welfare check, items identified as paraphernalia were discovered; a referral shall be forwarded to DOSO.

• Folsom Library

Medical Incident: A 61-year-old male reported that a shelf fell on his head causing a minor abrasion and bruising to the head and forehead.

Thursday, October 27

• BARH

GDA: Officer responded to a suspicious odor believed to be marijuana; officers interviewed the subjects in the residence, and a referral shall be forwarded to DOSO.

• Crockett

Medical Incident: An 18-year-old male had vomited and appeared intoxicated, and was transported to Samaritan hospital by TFD.

Friday, October 28

• Quad

GDA: A suspicious odor was noted coming from a residence; upon knocking on the door, the resident answered the door and after a brief interview the occupant handed a bag of marijuana over to the responding officers.

• Williams

Attempted Assault: Student reported she had a verbal argument with her roommate and her roommate threw a pair of scissors at her; a complaint was filed with TPD.

• Davison Lot

Criminal Mischief: Unknown person(s) broke the driver’s side mirror and caused scratches and dents on the body of the vehicle of a 2001 Ford.

Saturday, October 29

• Tibbits

Explosion: Rensselaer County 911 contacted DPS to report that TFD and TPD were responding to an explosion; upon arrival; occupants of the building advised that they had made a dry ice bomb. No injuries were reported, and Life Safety and DOSO were advised.

• Off Campus

Fire Report: Rensselaer County 911 advised DPS of a Fire alarm activation at an off campus location; upon arrival, DPS noted several hundred occupants had not evacuated the building; the referral shall be forwarded to DOSO for review.

• Bray

Fire Report: Honeywell indicated an alarm; the cause was deemed to be cooking smoke.

Sunday, October 30

• Davison Lot

Criminal Mischief: Unknown person(s) threw an unknown object at a student’s window, causing it to break.

• Colvin Circle

MVA: The operator of a 2000 Honda Civic was backing up and struck a vehicle which was ticketed for parking in the fire lane.

• Bray Hall

Fire Report: Honeywell indicated an alarm; the first floor pull station had been activated with no known cause.
