UC seeks Activity Fee rep

Eric Schmidt
Undergraduate Council President

Well, another week down and plenty more snow on the ground for all of you skiers. I hope y’all got a chance to go to the Big Red Freakout on Saturday and show some school spirit! It was a good game, and a great chance to meet plenty of alumni. We also saw Joe lose to Father Ed during the second period intermission show. If you missed all the excitement, be sure not to miss it next year.

The Undergraduate Council has been busy over the last couple of weeks finishing up our bylaws and mentoring program. We should have them done by the next article, so we can start moving on to some other important issues. There are a couple of academic issues that will be targeted, but we would love to hear some ideas from you, since we represent you.

We are also looking for an undergrad to represent the council on the Activity Fee Subcommittee. This group will set our fees that we pay to the Union for the next school year. This is a very important committee for all undergrads and is a good way to get involved. The committee will meet a few times over the next two months. If you are interested, please let me know.

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions e-mail schmide@rpi.edu. I am sure we will get dumped on again by the time you hear from me again, so good luck, and don’t get hurt.
