Every class is doing something to help out the students right now. Every class, along with the Undergraduate Council, has a website which is listed on the Union website. All of these websites have been updated or will be updated shortly. These websites will keep each class informed about what they are up to. This article is entirely devoted to updating everyone on what the class councils are doing.
The class of 2006 is in the middle of planning senior week, along with other graduation events such as the 106-day party and commencement speakers. The co-chairs of the senior week committee, Lindsay Denton and Brandon Smith, are looking for some more people to help them out. If you want to be on the committee, or just help out, e-mail them and let them know. All seniors should make sure to check with the registrar, FYE, and http://lists.rpi.edu/ to make sure that you are on the class of 2006 e-mail list.
The class of 2007 is thinking about commencement speakers along with continuing their progress on their class ring. Class rings will be sold very soon in the Union. Look for e-mails from your class president. If you have any input about commencement speakers or are interested in helping the class of 2007, e-mail Hannah Kim.
The class of 2008 is preparing to look at different companies for class rings. The class is working on the class tree and getting estimates for it. They are working hard on these projects right now and if you are interested in helping out, e-mail Michael Milligan.
The class of 2009 is currently just beginning their preparations to make their class constitution and get running. Their next meeting will be on Tuesday at 9 pm in Union 3511. If you’re interested in helping out with class constitution or just the class council in general, come to the meeting or e-mail David Drew.
If you want to learn more about your class and what they are up to, e-mail your class president and go to the class council meetings. Also, look for e-mails from the class president about important information. Next time, you will get an update about what the Undergraduate Council is up to.
