What’s New in the CDC? Lots! First of all, we’d like to welcome back both our new and returning students to RPI, and invite you in for FREE coffee in our Cafe (Monday-Friday 9-11 am). We have two new counselors, Jennifer Heptig, and Melissa Hubbard. Jennifer will be working with the co-op program, while Melissa is working as a liaison to the Office of Minority Student Affairs.
So, what else is new? Well, our walk-in hours have changed, based on student demand. The new hours are: Mondays and Thursdays 1-3 pm, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 2:30-4:30 pm, and Fridays 10 am-12pm. During these times, students can walk in and ask quick questions or have their resumes and cover letters critiqued.
On-campus recruiting starts in less than two weeks! That’s right, OCR begins on October 3, following the NSBE/SHPE Career Fair. Be sure to update your profile on Redhawk Joblink, and register or re-register with the CDC by turning in your consent form and fee to DCC 209. It’s also a good idea to complete registration with us before the fair, in the event you are invited to an interview while attending the fair.
And all this week—resumania! From September 26-30, recruiters will be reviewing resumes from 12-4 PM every day in the CDC cafe. If you’re wrestling with your resume, stop by the CDC for resumania. The Career Development Center is located in Darrin Communications Center 209. Our hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 am–4:45 pm. Appointments are available on a daily basis (visit our website) to schedule an appointment online), in addition to our walk-in hours listed above. We may also be reached by phone at 276-8234.
We look forward to seeing you this Fall!
