Medical Incident: A 50-year-old male staff member fell in the parking lot, injuring his right knee.

Friday, September 9

• Sage Dining Hall

Fire Report: Fire alarm activated due to a malfunction of hoods.

• BARH

Grand Larceny: Complainant reported an unknown person entered his room and took his digital phone and money.

Saturday, September 10

• Colonie C

Fire Report: Fire alarm activated; caused by cooking smoke.

• North Lot

Reckless Driving: Complainant reported a small green vehicle driving recklessly in North Lot; contact was made with the operator and a referral was sent to the Dean’s office for review.

• Hall Hall

Unattended Death: An RPI student was found deceased in his room; RPI Administration and Troy Police responded.

• Samaritan Hospital

Underage Drinking: Hospital staff advised Public Safety that an RPI student was found on a lawn intoxicated; DPS and the Dean of Students responded.

• ’87 Gym

Medical Incident: An 18-year-old female visitor was dehydrated and passed out for a short time; patient transported to Samaritan Hospital by RPI Ambulance.

• North Lot

Motor Vehicle Accident: A forklift truck being removed from a trailer accidentally struck a parked vehicle in North Lot.

• Greene Building

Medical Incident Report: A 25-year-old female student was cutting foam with a box cutter and cut herself; RPI Ambulance treated patient.

Sunday, September 11

• Harkness Field

Medical Incident Report: A 21-year-old male student injured his knee playing soccer; the patient was transported to Samaritan Hospital by RPI Ambulance.

• Folsom Library

Larceny: Complainant reported that his bike had been stolen.

Monday, September 12

• Hunt

Medical Incident: A 22-year-old female student ingested nail polish remover; patient transported to Samaritan Hospital by RPI Ambulance.

• Colonie

Welfare Check: Welfare check on student requested by relative; student was located and the Dean of Student’s office was notified of findings.

• Peoples and 8th

Motor Vehicle Accident: An operator struck a motor vehicle.

Tuesday, September 13

• RSU Garage

Property Damage: Complainant reported a metal door frame leaning against the wall had caused damage to the hood of the vehicle.

• Biotech Center

Falling Window Trim: Complainant reported a piece of aluminum trim fell from the fourth floor.

• Cook and Sunset

Reckless Driving: Complainant reported a vehicle did not fully stop at the stop sign and came within three feet of the victim.

• Houston Field House

Medical Incident: An 18-year-old male was playing football and was struck in the head by another player; the patient was transported to Samaritan Hospital by RPI Ambulance.

Wednesday, September 14

• Georgian Terrace

Petit Larceny: A witness reported three students removing lawn furniture from a residence and loading it in a truck. The occupants were stopped by DPS. A referral was forwarded to the Dean of Student’s office.

Thursday, September 15

• Russell Sage

Criminal Mischief: Complainant reported person(s) unknown caused damage to an exterior window, striking it with an unknown projectile.

• Nason

Medical Incident: A 17-year-old male student fell playing frisbee and injured his left ankle.

• Sage Dining Hall

Fire Report: An alarm caused by a sprinkler alarm which had activated and was reset.

Friday, September 16

• Stackwyck

Welfare Check: DPS received information regarding the welfare of a student; DPS responded to the residence and student was transport to the hospital.

• Exterior

Criminal Mischief: DPS Officer viewed damage to blocks on the lower wall between Nugent and Sharp Halls.

• Hall Hall

Medical Incident: A can of compressed air slipped and struck a student; student transported to Samaritan Hospital by RPI Ambulance.

Saturday, September 17

• Pittsburg Building

Fire Report: A pre-smoke alarm activated; there were no findings upon arrival, and the system was reset.
