General: RPI staff reported a tree fell on a car causing damage to the trunk and rear portion of the vehicle.

Petty Larceny: Complainant took his vehicle to Price Chopper and, upon returning, noted that his NYS license plate was missing.
Friday, September 2
• Biotech
Criminal Mischief: Co-reports that person(s) unknown did cause damage to the Ballard lights along the walkway at the south entry.
Saturday, September 3
• Belle Avenue
Noise Complaint: Complainant called to report a loud noise; the on-duty dean responded and alcohol was found on the premises. A referral has been sent to the DOSO for review.
• Bray Hall
GDA: Students under the age of 21 were found in possession of alcohol and failed to produce an RPI ID card. A referral has been forwarded to the DOSO for review.
• Crocket
GDA: Three students under the age of 21 were found to have consumed alcohol; the students were transported to the hospital for an evaluation and the Dean of FYE advised.
• Harkness Field
GDA: Officers noted a group of individuals yelling obscenities at an opposing soccer team. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the group also possessed alcohol; a referral has been sent to the DOSO for review.

Fire Report: Burnt toast caused a fire alarm to sound.
Monday, September 5
• Albright
Underage Drinking: Non-students were discovered outside and according to the individuals interviewed they had obtained the alcohol from within; a referral shall be forwarded to DOSO for review.
• Barton Hall
Welfare Check: Complainant reported they viewed an intoxicated student enter his room and was not answering the door; a welfare check was conducted and the student was all right and answered questions accordingly.
• Davison Hall
Possession of Fireworks: Complainant viewed fireworks being shot out a window in Davison hall; occupants were identified and a referral has been forwarded to DOSO for review.
• Burdett Avenue
GDA: Loud noises and obscenities were coming from a fraternity on Burdett Avenue.
Tuesday, September 6
• Stackwyck Parking
Grand Larceny: Co-reports that 14 fiberglass boxes were taken over the weekend; a larceny report was filed.
• Hutton Street
Property Damage: Complainant stated her vehicle was struck by a foul ball that came from the RPI 17th Street ball-field; the report was forwarded to risk management.
Wednesday, September 7
• Pittsburgh Building
Fire Report: An alarm indicated a fire at the Pittsburgh building; after investigation, it was discovered that the cause for the alarm was flashbulbs utilized in a photo shoot.
Thursday, September 8
• Nugent Hall
Facility Damage: A resident reported they attempted to repair a toilet and accidentally caused flooding to the 1st and 2nd floors of the residence hall; all administrative staff responded and affected students were relocated. The fire department cleared the scene for any hazards and RPI personnel immediately commenced cleanup of the area.
• BARH Dining
Water Leak: Staff contacted DPS to report water leaking from the ceiling into the kitchen and west dining hall; the pipe was located and repairs to the area were completed.
