Unbreakable—M. Night Shya-malan tries very hard to recapture the magic of his breakout film, The Sixth Sense. Most of the elements are there, but somehow, this version is less compelling. Perhaps it is that Spencer Treat Clark is not—cannot be—Haley Joel Osment, the child prodigy/actor that ran away with Sense. I can’t be too critical, though, because this flick is still better than 90 percent of the drivel that Hollywood produces today.
