Because it does not matter where you came from, for the Union will help you on your way to where you are going.

Because you do not want to realize during your procession for commencement, that you have truly missed out by not taking your due place within the Union.

Because Rick Hartt, the Director of the Union, always has a line at his door, yet it is the only office that you never need an appointment.

Maybe it will be the first performance you see in the McNeil Room, or at your first Players production, or maybe it will be after you have climbed your first mountain with the Outing Club, but at some point it will hit you, this is not your typical college union. There is something inherently different about the Rensselaer Union than any other department on campus, maybe you have realized it, maybe you haven’t, but it is simply because it is your Union.
