Motor Vehicle Accident: Property damage accident.
• CII and Sage Bldg.
Larceny: Following an inventory, NSS reported a number of workstation chairs as stolen from certain computer labs sometime over the past five months.
Saturday, January 20
• Crockett Hall
Criminal Mischief: Student punched out window in an underage alcohol-related incident. Judicial action pending.
• VCC
Medical: Person slipped and fell outside of building and struck their head. RPI Ambulance transported patient to hospital.
Sunday, January 21
• Bray Hall
Criminal Mischief: Second floor window smashed from inside of building.
Monday, January 22
• Main Campus
Industrial Accident: Drill rig tractor slid down hill west of Folsom Library and struck tree. No injuries reported.
Tuesday, January 23
• Pittsburgh Bldg.
Larceny: Container of biscotti stolen from food service area overnight.
Thursday, January 25
• Colvin Circle
Burglary: Entry made via unsecured front window. Two class rings, a Playstation II, and a video game stolen. The theft occurred sometime between 10:30 am and 1:00 pm the day before.
• North Hall
Attempted Burglary: While conducting a follow-up investigation to a larceny report, an investigating officer spoke with a resident who reported that an unknown person had walked into her unlocked room early in the evening on January 14 and demanded money. Resident screamed and kicked suspect who then left. Suspect described as a white male in his 40’s, about 5’7", 170 lbs., and with brown hair. Public Safety and Troy Police are investigating.
Friday, January 26
• Area of Sherry & McLeod Road
Larceny: Three persons who parked their cars on city streets reported the forcible entry and theft of property from their cars. Occurred between 11 am and 3:30 pm. Troy Police filed reports.
Saturday, January 27
• Quad
Burglary: Two residents reported the theft of their laptops from their rooms sometime between 11:30 pm and 2:30 am. Rooms were unoccupied and left unlocked at the time of theft.
• Quad
Menacing: Student threatened another student with a knife after a physical altercation. Item confiscated by DPS and subject referred to DOSO for judicial action.
Monday, January 29
• West Hall
Burglary: Forced entry made into storage room sometime over weekend. However, storage room was empty.
Tip of the Week: Report suspicious persons in the residence halls. Do not confront anyone, but get a good description and notify Public Safety immediately. | |
