At the last IFC general council meeting, the candidates for Grand Marshal and President of the Union sought the IFC’s endorsement in running for their office. In the past, only one candidate has been elected without being endorsed by the council.
Each candidate was given a brief period of time to speak in front of the council and to present their platform. This was followed up by a question and answer period. The candidate was then asked to leave the room and the council had a discussion about that candidate. After hearing both people speak, a vote was taken and a simple majority was all a candidate needed to receive the endorsement.
Officially, the Interfraternity Council is endorsing Max Yates for Grand Marshal and Peter Baldwin for President of the Union. Both candidates are running as members of the Genesis Party. The IFC would like to thank all the candidates for their time and wish anyone running good luck.
