Strong showing for Ski Team

Freshman Brian Morgan finished third overall, after taking third in the slalom and fifth in the giant slalom, to lead the RPI ski club in the Clarkson Invitational this past weekend at Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid, N.Y. The meet, which featured some 18 different schools from across New York, marked the team’s second race of the season.

Junior Casey Edgeton and freshman John Williams also had solid showings for RPI. Edgeton ranked fifth in the giant slalom after his run, while Williams landed the 25th spot in the slalom.

The ski team will continue its pursuit of a Mid-East Regional invitation when they travel to the Hamilton Invitational on Labrador Mountain this weekend, February 5 and 6.
