Introduction

Joe Juneau ’91 must have seen how revved up the Houston Field House got to welcome back former Engineer Adam Oates ’84 on Black Friday, November 5, and figured he should join the party at his alma mater. Juneau, arguably the second most successful product of RPI hockey, will be revisiting Rensselaer for the first time since he joined the Boston Bruins for the 1991-1992 season at today’s “White Wednesday” men’s hockey game against Hockey East foe Providence College. Special white rally towels will be handed out to the first 2000 fans to enter the Field House.

There are no plans announced for the RPI graduate to address either the fans or the team, but Juneau will address the team prior to the game.

Juneau, of Pont-Rouge, Que., scored 156 goals and handed out 416 assists in 828 games in the National Hockey League. In his rookie year, Juneau broke the NHL record for most assists in a season by a left wing and rookie with 70.
