Give golf recognition

To the Editor:

I am completely appalled by your golf article. How anyone could have the nerve to write anything of that nature is completely beyond me. First and foremost, golf is a true sport and you’re just being naïve if you think otherwise. Golfers go through strenuous workouts to get their body in shape for the golf season. You need to have the appropriate workout and dietary plan in order to perform at the optimal level.

Second, golf is not just a sport of luck. You need to know what you’re doing for each and every shot, implementing a certain level of creativity.

Thirdly, with golf you must understand that you can’t perform on the top of your game at all times. Consequently, the 14-year old girl who’s shooting scores resemble those of professional athletes provides an indicator that skill is involved. Next, you’re going to tell me that bowling and tennis aren’t sports, and I’m pretty sure that they have a men’s, women’s, and senior circuit league in each. Next time you decide to write something, how about you add some truth to your statements? Hopefully your future articles will adhere to this technique!
