Informal recruitment has started for the Panhellenic sororities on campus! The houses will be having recruitment parties starting this week to invite interested girls to visit. Informal recruitment starts the first week of classes and will end the last week of January.
The spring recruitment period is a good time for girls who may not have been interested in joining a sorority last semester to get to know how the houses function.
Informal recruitment is slightly different from the formal recruitment period in the fall because it doesn’t have as many of the rules involved. For one, the atmosphere is much more relaxed at all of the houses which makes informal recruitment a great time to get to know them. Additionally, girls interested in rushing during the spring are not required to visit all three houses in order to join any house as they are in the fall.
If you’re interested in going to visit any of the houses, contact any of the sisters of that house to find out when they’re having events. This semester is a great time to check out what greek life is like and to find out how diverse the sororities on our campus are.
