New York State’s health commissioner, Dr. Antonia Novello, recently urged residents to get the flu shot to avoid coming down with influenza, which kills around 2,000 people in New York annually.
The Student Health Center is administering the shots this week on campus. Shots are free for students and $10 for faculty and staff.
The shots will be given today at the Russell Sage Dining Hall from 11 am until 1 pm and at the Commons from 4 pm until 6:30 pm. Tomorrow, shots will be dispensed at the Union from 11 am until 1 pm and at BARH from 4 pm until 6:30 pm. On Friday, the last day that shots are planned to be given, the shots will be administered in the DCC Great Hall from 11 am until 1:30 pm.
