Dennis Donald/The Polytechnic Members of the RPI Judo Club demonstrate their finely tuned skills to the crowd. The martial art of judo is based on throwing techniques, which make use of leverage to topple an opponent. A mastery of judo requires intense dedication and years of training. Only after a lifetime of practice can one be considered a true judo master. 
Dennis Donald/The Polytechnic Sensei Irvin Faust of RPI Aikido and Capital District Aikikai in Latham explains various sequences of movements to the audience. Aikido is a martial art based solely on defense; it uses the force and momentum of an opponent to avoid their attacks.
