SECURITY GATES AT CAMPUS ENTRANCES AND PARKING LOTS BEGAN operation Monday. Faculty, staff, and students have all voiced complaints about the gates, which can only be opened by transponder. Even community groups and businesses, such as local restaurants who deliver lunch, must purchase a device for $350 or leave a deposit with public safety. Staff will be posted at the gates until Friday to ensure smooth operation.
