MARGE PIERCY READ at the 62nd Annual McKinney Competition Awards Ceremony. First the awards for undergraduate and graduate participants in the competition were announced. The first prize in electronic media went to James Roberts, an undergraduate, and Jennifer Taylor, a graduate. The essay competition had no undergraduates, but there was a tie by graduate students Teresa Giffen and Patricia Nugent. Fiction and drama had Anna Batorsky and Ayala Cnaan take the prize. The poetry competition was led by Pinky Sanghvi and Ashley Williams. The night was inspirational for the few true writers at RPI.
