The greek community is feeling optimistic this semester, GPA reports show that the average greek GPA is still above the all-campus GPA, and possibly higher than it has been in a while. In a valiant effort to make a bigger impact on campus and to have better relations with the school, many chapters are searching for faculty advisors. Panhel is planning a scholarship banquet to acknowledge female greeks that have done exceptionally well.

Greeks are trying to match the high standard that was set on Martin Luther King Jr. Day by having 66 percent of the attendance at this Saturday’s community service day—which is sponsored by the Office of the First Year Experience—be greek.

Alpha Phi is having its annual cookie sale this week in the Union. Proceeds benefit their national philanthropy which funds women’s cardiac care as well as emergency aid, scholarships, and leadership training.

Greeks are also taking an active roll in V-Day RPI this year. Many greek women tried out for parts in The Vagina Monologues and will be performing in the production to show their support.
