• Armory Lot

Property Damage: Car parked in A-Lot damaged sometime between January 15 and 16 by unknown vehicle.

• Physical Facilities Lot

Property Damage: Vehicle back-ing out of parking space struck by passing vehicle. Insurance information exchanged.

• Visitor’s Information Center

Property Damage: Car parked in Visitor’s Information Center lot on January 16 damaged by unknown vehicle.

Friday, January 17

• Physical Facilities Building

Larceny: Portable radio left unattended stolen.

Monday, January 20

• Watervliet Facility

Fire Alarm: Workers “sweating pipes” accidentally tripped fire alarm system.

Tuesday, January 21

• Student Health Center

Medical: Student with abdominal pain. Troy Fire Department re-sponded and transported patient to hospital.

Wednesday, January 22

• Physical Facilities Lot

Property Damage: Vehicle parked in lot damaged sometime on January 21 by unknown vehicle.

• Cogswell Lab

Chemical Spill: Grad student spilled chemical in lab. Troy Fire Department responded. Patient transported to hospital for eval-uation.

Thursday, January 23

• Greene Building

Fire Alarm: Fire alarm system accidentally activated.

• Armory Lot

Property Damage: Person seated in their vehicle had their car struck by another vehicle leaving a parking space. Driver of second vehicle left scene.

• Colvin Circle

Burglary: Resident left apart-ment secured but unknown person(s) made entry by unknown means between 8 and 10 pm. VCR, cordless phone, and two laptops stolen.

Tip of the Week: According to the Federal Trade Commission, incidents of identity theft doubled in 2001. Be sure to shred any personal documents before discarding them, in-cluding those personalized credit card offers.
