Hello everyone. I hope you enjoyed your break and took some time to relax over the past few weeks.
This past semester the Executive Board sought out student feedback on the Union in efforts to improve its services to students. The E-Board found that there is a demand for late night foods and coffee for students. In efforts with Sodexo Food Services the E-Board has worked to bring these services to students. Within the first few weeks of classes, a smoothie and coffee shop featuring Starbucks Coffee will be opening in the McNeil Room. The E-Board will be continuing to seek your opinions throughout this semester to continually improve the Union and address the needs of students.
During the first few weeks of this semester the Executive Board will be spending some time reviewing the progress of last semester and establishing its goals for this semester. The main focus of this past semester was on establishing club relationships and budget preparation. The Executive Board will be very busy over the next few weeks as all budgets for the 2003-2004 year are reviewed. The E-Board budgeting process is extensive and thorough as budgets are evaluated on a line-by-line basis. The E-Board representatives have worked hard to establish club relationships and to prepare for budgeting. As mentioned previously the Executive Board is focusing on the “core and critical” aspects of clubs and activities. The E-Board has worked hard to communicate this information to all people in efforts to make the budget process move smoothly.
