To the Editor:
This is addressed to my distinguished co-worker, Dave Hemstead. You stated that a union here would help us build a better foundation for the future. Well, some of the actions of Mr. Drucker and his union have clearly demonstrated that their honesty, integrity, and overall managerial style, as stated in my last letter, are in question.
Most recently, he and his union have had a motion filed against them, in my opinion, for invasion of the privacy of individuals that are against the union. I, being a Vietnam vet and retired from the military, also love this great country of ours.
About your statement of your constantly working two jobs; well, Dave, that has been going on since the beginning of time. I, too, while in the military, had to work part-time sometimes. Maybe if some of us would take advantage of the great benefits here, one of which is the educational opportunities to the betterment of one’s self being, things would better.
In my opinion, RPI has made great strides towards improving our work environment and quality of life. For example, over the last three years, the pay raise has been 11.4 percent. If lies, deceit, and BS were ever considered forms of energy, then NiMo should look to Mr. Drucker and his union as a never-ending source.
You also went on to talk about power in the wrong hands. Given the past performances of this union and its tactics, would anybody want them in a managerial position for them? Given the above statement, this is a prime reason for casting your vote for a big no when the vote comes around.
