This past week the women’s lacrosse team suffered two defeats, placing them at 2-6 in the UCAA and 3-8 overall as they finished out their season.

On Friday, the Red Hawks were crushed by the William Smith Herons by a final score of 15-3. Ann Larsen, Mary Roy, and Hilary Lahn each contributed a goal, but it was not enough to stop the momentum of the Herons, who clearly dominated the scoreboard.

The story was brighter on Sunday, but the Hamilton Continentals still beat out the Red Hawks 8-5. The Red Hawks started with a quick lead, but could not hold it as the Continentals pressed Meghan Gaul for four goals in the first half and another four in the second. Larsen, Mary Beth Cooley, and Bridget MacKean each contributed a goal, and Mary Roy contributed two, with an assist on one by Hilary Lahn.
