Scott Robertson/The Polytechnic STUDENTS FLOCKED to the Union for Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day. As the workers rushed to fill each student’s request for a cone, the line just got longer, traveling around the corner. Free ice cream surely is the way to get students out and participating. Some of the flavors that were available to the Rensselaer community were Cherry Garcia, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, One Sweet Whirled, Mint Chocolate Chunk, and other favorites. This annual event has become a good sign that the end of the school year is approaching and students anticipate its arrival. This anniversary for Ben & Jerry’s has become a national event since their small beginnings as a company in Vermont.
