Tuesday, April 15

• Blitman Residence Commons

Fire alarm: Smoke detector activated on second floor near elevator. FLS on scene. Cause was cooking smoke. Alarm was reset per TFD.

• West Hall

Vehicular accident: Vehicle at credit union entrance was off road with one tire not touching the ground. Driver had a tow en route. Minor property damage to lawn. Report filed.

Wednesday, April 16

• 8th Street

Vehicular accident: An E&SS driver hit a post on the east side of EMPAC on 8th Street, causing damage to driver’s tractor and very minor damage to handrail.

• Other On-Campus Location

Accident: Caller had accident with RPI vehicle by hitting a railing near the Walker Labratory. Report filed.

Friday, April 18

• Beman Lane

Larceny: Student reported a package had been stolen from in front of residence. Report completed.

Saturday, April 19

• Hall Hall

Illness: Caller at Hall Hall stated there was a student outside on the patio vomiting. Officer requested EMS be dispatched. Student refused medical attention. E&SS notified to clean up outside of the building.

• The Quad

Illness: Caller reported 19-year-old subject with abdominal pains. TFD transported to Samaritan Hospital.

• Rensselaer Union

Arrest: Caller reported a suspicious subject attacked two subjects near the Rensselaer Union. Subject then entered the Union. DPS apprehended subject outside on the east side of the Union. Subject was placed under arrest after attempting to assault an officer. Subject transported to Samaritan for evaluation by TFD. Officer on post with TPD at the hospital. DOSO and ResLife notified. Student and mother came to Public Safety to meet with Dean Smith. An emergency suspension was given to the student.

• Sunset Terrace

Fire alarm: Caller indicated a fire alarm. As per sergeant, cooking smoke was the cause. System reset and back on line per TFD.

Monday, April 21

• Polytech Apartments

Fire alarm: Fire alarm activation received for Polytech Apartments. Cooking smoke was the cause.

• The Armory

Injury: Medical call received. Student playing basketball injured right ankle. Subject transported to Samaritan by RPIA. DOSO notified.
