PSS: leaping over reasonably-sized hurdles

JUNIOR DAVID KASTNER FLIES over the hurdles in the 110-meter event, where he finished second with a time of 15.11 seconds. The men’s track & field team finished first overall at the Liberty League Championships to claims its 11th outdoor title. The women’s team was narrowly edged out by St. Lawrence University, and finished second at the event with 185 points. On the women’s side, three student-athletes finished first in their respective events. Sophomore Cheryl Tran won the high jump with a height of 1.61 meters, setting a Liberty League record in the process. Senior Morgan Danner won the pole vault, while sophomore Ivy Muchuma won the javelin throw. This weekend, RPI hosts the Capital District Invitational on Harkness Field, beginning at 11 am on Saturday. In addition, the NYSCTC Heptathlon/Decathlon will also be at Harkness Field, starting at noon on Sunday, and 10 am on Monday,
